Jacqueline Allan
Hello, my name is Jacqueline Allan. At home in British Columbia I serve as President of the Cornbury Society. In the past I have been involved with the initial setup of a new gender clinic in British Columbia as part of an educational working group. Along with others I have also participated in several talks to groups about transgendered issues at local schools, crisis centers and professional counseling services. Two of my many journeys are spiritual/energy work and my evolution as a trans woman. For my Self, balance in my life is very important and Esprit has helped me with that possibility. I was the Chairwoman for 2005 and again in 2006. In 2007 I worked with the media and hospice programs and will be doing the same in 2008. I was introduced to Esprit in 2000 as one of the original scholarship recipients. The scholarship enabled me to attend Esprit and greatly change the course of my life. In order to give something back to Esprit, I have been on the Committee since 2001, serving in various capacities. Each year I look forward to May and the start of the convention. It has been an honour to serve on the Committee and in turn help those who attend Esprit. |
